is the story my roommate told me…..
One day, my roommate(called “A”) and her
senior high school classmate(called “B”) walked into a restroom.
B:
Do you know that there was a homicide case in the toilet? A girl conducted a
suicide here because she was cruelly bullied by her peers… It is said that some
students have seen a woman hanging herself in the toilet…
A:
What??? (Afraid)
B:
Wait; don’t you feel there is something wrong with there…?
A:
What??? (Much more afraid)
B:
Do you…
A:
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~~~~~~~ (Scream and ran away)

minutes later, B caught A.)
B:
Why did you run away? I said, do you… smell the odour of chafing dish?
OK, let’s neglect my roommate and focus on
the legend. Why do some people have the illusion of ghosts?
Well, there are two reasons. First of all,
some strong wind or the noise made by the vehicles can cause infrasound(超低頻音). Although we can’t hear infrasound, it brings us the
strange feeling. For example, Coventry, a cellar known for ghosts, was found
the existence of infrasound. People often say that they have seen the occult
phenomenon there.
Another reason is self-suggestion(自我暗示). If people are suggested that they are in the haunted
house, they tend to be afraid and sensitive. They are alert to every subtle
signal in the environment, and each of the signals makes them more frightened.
In the tensive situation, people are easier to have the illusion.
Next time staying in the haunted house,
suggest yourself that ghosts don’t exist and that nothing is scarier than
calculus exam. Then, you won’t fear anymore!

回覆刪除Well, it sounds pretty true that most of the time we are just frightening ourselves with many details that are already there for a long time, but we just won't notice them till we are informed that it is actually a haunted house. Take myself for instance, my cousin and I love to play occult video games in a dark tiny room, so you know whenever someone come in the room without knocking at first...and it sounds like ARHHHHHHHH!!

刪除In my childhood, I played a horror game about 七夜怪談. It was terrible!!! Somehow the computer crashed, so the scary sound effects can't be diminish by the computer. Therefore, I was forced to watch 貞子 and listen to the grisly sound. I couldn't help ran away from the chamber and called for help then. TAT
I used to watch a lot of Japanese ghost stories. I usually watch them at the daytime, and it became so hard for me to fall asleep at night because I get super alert if there's any noises. (Yes, I'm very timid><)
回覆刪除Although, many people claim that there's no such thing as ghost, but I think ghosts do somehow "exist". Because some coincidences make me believe so......
Ha ha, so am I. I remember that I read a horror story about blood Mary in my childhood. Since then, I couldn't fall asleep easily and was usually frightened by the sounds at night. I always lay besides my mom then. Mom was annoyed by my fuss. XD)

I think ghosts really exist! Some people have 陰陽眼 can prove that! But it's true that many people are frightened by themselves.

回覆刪除I've seen the investigation of that cellar on Discovery!!! Though it was confirmed of the existence of the sound, the whole environment just seemed creepy~~~
回覆刪除I know a member of NTU Chorus who can see ghosts and spirits, so I guess maybe they DO exist...
BTW, I used to sing when I visited a haunted house, cauz my brother always says my voice is too terrible to frighten away even ghosts. XDDD

Oh we used to stay on 陽明 mountain for two days every semester when I was in junior high, cauz my school owned a land there, including a cemetery and a deserted factory which was said to be a NICE SPOT for suicides...==

Well, most people who have seen "ghosts" describes "ghosts" as human-shaped shadow with strange sound or smell. However, a few people claim that they see some "ghosts" are like humankind, but they can pass through the wall or float in the air.... (creepy~~)
